Publish Your First Image Wallpaper

In this tutorial you'll take a single image file and publish it as a Fluxlay wallpaper, all from the desktop app — no coding, no command line.

What you need

  • One image file (.png, .jpg, .jpeg, .webp, or .gif)
  • The Fluxlay desktop app (macOS or Windows)
  • A Fluxlay account with onboarding completed

A high-resolution image works best — 3840×2160 or higher for 4K displays.

1. Open the app and sign in

Open the settings window from the Fluxlay icon in your menu bar (macOS) or system tray (Windows). If you're not signed in, click Sign in and complete the flow in your browser.

2. Open the upload screen

In the settings sidebar, choose Upload. At the top of the page you'll see two tabs — leave it on New wallpaper.
