Install the Desktop App

The Fluxlay desktop app is the only tool you need to display, create, and publish wallpapers. No command line, no other tooling.

Download

Grab the installer from the download page.

Windows 11 22H2+x64.exe / .msi

Windows 10 is supported on a best-effort basis. On Windows, wallpapers render across all virtual desktops, and they're hidden while a fullscreen game is running.

Install

  1. macOS: open the .dmg and drag Fluxlay to Applications. Windows: run the .exe (or .msi) installer.
  2. Launch Fluxlay.
  3. Grant the required permissions (macOS: accessibility, screen recording).
  4. The Fluxlay icon appears in your menu bar (macOS) or system tray (Windows). The app runs in the background.

Open the settings window from the Fluxlay icon. If you aren't signed in, click Sign in and complete the flow in your browser. The app picks up the session automatically.
