# Publish Your First Image Wallpaper

In this tutorial you'll take a single image file and publish it as a Fluxlay wallpaper, all from the desktop app — no coding, no command line.

## What you need

- One image file (`.png`, `.jpg`, `.jpeg`, `.webp`, or `.gif`)
- The [Fluxlay desktop app](/en/studio/creator/how-to/setup/install-app.md) (macOS or Windows)
- A Fluxlay account with onboarding completed

> A high-resolution image works best — 3840×2160 or higher for 4K displays.

## 1. Open the app and sign in

Open the settings window from the Fluxlay icon in your menu bar (macOS) or system tray (Windows). If you're not signed in, click **Sign in** and complete the flow in your browser.

## 2. Open the upload screen

In the settings sidebar, choose **Upload**. At the top of the page you'll see two tabs — leave it on **New wallpaper**.

## 3. Pick your image

In the **Upload & Details** section, click the file picker and select your image (e.g. `photo.png`).

## 4. Fill in the form

| Field | Example | Notes |
| ----------- | ----------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Slug | `my-photo-wallpaper` | URL identifier. Lowercase letters, digits, hyphens. Cannot change later. |
| Name | `My Photo Wallpaper` | Display name shown in the store and gallery. |
| Version | `0.1.0` | The default is fine for a first release. |
| Description | `A favorite shot, on your desktop.` | Store listing description. |
| Tags | `nature`, `landscape` | For search and filtering. Press Enter or `,` to confirm each tag. |

## 5. Upload

Click the **Upload** button at the bottom-right. You'll see progress: Packaging → Registering → Uploading → Confirming → Done.

## 6. Verify

Your wallpaper now appears on the [dashboard](/dashboard/wallpapers). To add preview images or revise the description later, see [Edit your listing](/en/studio/creator/how-to/manage/edit-listing.md).
